On Sunday we had the harvest party and it went great! The whole day progressed smoothly and without any complications. The moon bounce got mauled and the kids got a kick out of the ponies. There were a lot of people from the church that came and also a number of guests. The day was fairly cool but the bonfire, knitted sweaters, and hot cider kept things toasty.
I learned so much about planning in the last few weeks. Even though it was not a very big event it was still a great experience. It was really cool to see people having a good time at an event that I had organized.
On Monday I went with the Buckleys to the Museum of Science in Boston. It was a excellent museum. While we were there we saw the Body Worlds exhibit. It was incredible. I mean, the bodies were all at one point in time alive, moving around, breathing, and...and know they are an exhibit in a museum! Anyways, you can't bring cameras in because you could just take pictures of the bodies and distribute the photos and then nobody would pay to see the exhibit.
I am not working for the electrical contractor anymore. He does not have enough work for me right now. I am going to be looking into getting a job at the Fantini Bakery which is Peggy Buckley's families business. The Bakery has been around for four generations. It is a really cool place. Right now, when I am not doing stuff for the church, I am working on some projects at the Buckleys house. These are projects that Paul needs to get done before winter, like cutting and splitting a wood pile to burn throughout the cold months. With me doing these odd jobs Paul is freed up to do more important things. I am glad I can help in this way. I feel like an farm hand earning his room and board. It's great.

So great to read your update, Chris. I love the way you fill in the details for us. I can visualize what you're saying......but then wasn't I the one that always said you had a "writer's voice"? Love it that you're chopping wood for Paul and Peggy. What a great experience! So glad that you're there.....can't wait to have you home.

Man. Ponies. That's the best part. You got real, live ponies. I'm glad you'll be bringing back some of the things you're learning to Lancaster. Really glad.
